August was an exciting month at Brains & Butter as we celebrated the success of our virtual ButterCubs summer school, Find Your Roar 4.0. This year’s theme, “Heroes & Armours,” led our young learners on a creative journey, exploring Nigerian heroes, the essence of being a Christian soldier, and the power of animation through Canva.
Event Highlights
Our 5-day summer school offered engaging lessons that both inspired and educated. From August 12th – August 16th, here’s what made Find Your Roar 4.0 a standout experience:
– Nigerian Heroes: Students explored the lives and contributions of key figures in Nigerian history, gaining a deep understanding of their impact and legacy.
– Being a Soldier of Christ: In interactive sessions, children learned the values and virtues of being a committed Christian, understanding how to embody these principles in their daily lives.
– Animation with Canva: Through creative workshops, students learned the basics of graphic design using Canva, expressing their ideas through digital art and animations.
Inspiring Feedback
Feedback from our participants has been overwhelmingly positive. One child, inspired by lessons on Nigerian heroes and Canva, even created their own YouTube playlist dedicated to African Heroes. This response highlights the powerful impact of our program and our commitment to fostering creativity and critical thinking in young minds.
