In today’s rapidly shifting world, raising confident, grounded, and self-aware children is becoming more than a noble ideal; it is necessary. “Find Your Roar” speaks directly to that need. From the constant flood of information online to the pressure to perform at school, our children are growing up in a complex landscape. For families of African descent living in the diaspora, there’s an added layer of challenge: how do we raise children who not only thrive in this modern world but are also rooted in their identity, grounded in Christ, and proud of their heritage?
At Brains & Butter Cubs, we always ask the important questions and provide significant answers. One of those answers takes the form of “Find Your Roar” (5.1 Easter Edition), a fun, value-loaded virtual camp curated for children aged 7–15, scheduled for 12th – 19th April 2025. It is more than just a holiday activity, it’s a powerful investment in your child’s present and future.
Let’s explore why “Find Your Roar” is exactly the kind of experience your child needs this season.
What is “Find Your Roar”?
The idea of a child “finding their roar” is about much more than volume or boldness. It’s about clarity. It’s about helping children identify and own their unique voice—the God-given spark within them that speaks to who they are and who they’re becoming. In a world where many children are drifting or mimicking trends to fit in, finding their roar is about standing out with purpose, confidence, and integrity. For children of African descent, especially those growing up outside the continent, that voice is often layered with the need for cultural connection, spiritual grounding, and creative freedom.
Find Your Roar is not just an online class. It’s a purpose-packed experience created for children aged 7–15 who are ready to grow, explore, and step into leadership. It blends three pillars every African child needs in today’s world: Creativity, Christ, and Culture.
Now in its fifth edition, Find Your Roar has evolved into a safe, joyful, and empowering space where children can express themselves, learn from African heroes, dive into the Bible, build fundamental skills, and find their voice.
And this Easter 2025? We are levelling up.
Why Easter 2025 Is the Perfect Moment
The Easter season reminds us of bold sacrifice, resurrection, and purpose. It’s the perfect time to teach our children the more profound message of courage, resilience, and hope. And with school holidays often filled with passive screen time or monotonous repetition, Find Your Roar is a game-changing opportunity to use this break meaningfully.
No stuffy lectures. No rote memorisation. Just seven power-packed days of storytelling, skill-building, and soul-deep transformation. Here’s how:
1. Faith That Sticks
This isn’t your regular Bible lesson. Children will explore the word of God alongside stories of African heroes of faith, seeing how people who look like them have walked boldly with God. These aren’t just inspirational stories; they are blueprints for courage, conviction, and calling.
In a world that can sometimes blur truth and values, teaching children about their Christian faith helps them build a strong moral compass rooted in Scripture and lived-out legacy.
2. Creative Confidence
Whether your child is a budding writer, a quiet thinker, or someone still finding their rhythm, this track is all about helping them discover the power of their voice. Through fun storytelling and writing exercises, they will learn how to articulate ideas, think creatively, and express themselves boldly.
This is especially powerful for diaspora children who may often feel “in-between” cultures. Here, their uniqueness is their superpower.
3. Tech-Smart Skills
We can’t talk about preparing children for the future without touching on technology. But at Brains & Butter Cubs, we are not just putting children in front of a screen; we are helping them understand the tools behind it.
From the basics of Artificial Intelligence to beginner-friendly coding, this track gives your child a head-start into the future without overwhelming them. It’s hands-on, exciting, and deeply relevant.
4. Leadership in Action
Because it’s never too early to start leading, this part of the camp introduces real-world challenges and problem-solving activities that stretch children to make decisions, take initiative, and work as a team. It’s about cultivating inner confidence and taking responsibility at school and in life.
There are plenty of virtual camps out there, but “Find Your Roar” by Brains and Butter is not your average screen-time filler. This carefully designed experience speaks to the whole child: their spirit, mind, talents, and sense of identity.
